Shalmalee Desai is an Indian actress and television writer. She is the ex-wife of famous TV actor Avinash Sachdev. She is famous for her role as Sojal Agnihotri in the TV series “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?” Ek Baar Phir’ (2013), aired on StarPlus.

Shalmalee Desai was born on Friday, March 17, 1989 in Pune, Maharashtra (34 years old; as of 2023). She attended San Gregorio High School in Mumbai. She later attended Ramnivasrua Junior College. In 2009, she pursued her BA in Psychology from Ramnarain Ruia College, Mumbai. She then pursued MBA in Marketing from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai. In 2020, she received her Masters in Digital Marketing from UCD Michael Smurfit Business School, Dublin, Ireland. She has also completed a screenwriting course from Whistling Woods International Academy, Mumbai.
