Suniel Shetty was born on 11 August 1961 in Mulki, Mangalore, Karnataka, India (62 years; as of 2023). His full name is Sunil Veerappa Shetty. After completing his studies, he went to Mumbai to obtain a degree in Hotel Management from HR College of Business and Economics. Sunil is trained in karate and is a black belt in taekwondo. When Shetty was a child, his father worked as a waiter at a restaurant in Worli, Mumbai, washing dishes. His father’s boss asked him to manage his new business, and by 1943, his father bought the entire building. Sunil is an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva.

Sunil made his acting debut in 1992 with the film Balwan. The film was a commercial success and established him as an actor.
