Ashiesh Roy is an Indian television and film actor. He is best known for his role as “Tanveer” in the hit Indian comedy series Yes Boss (1999) which aired on SAB TV.

He has acted in several Bollywood films including The Forgotten Hero (2004), MP3: Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar (2007), Raja Natwarlal (2014) and Barkhaa (2014). He is also a dubbing artist and has lent his voice to several Hollywood films such as Superman Returns (2006), Man of Steel (2013), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and The Legend of Tarzan (2016).

I was already facing a financial crunch and the lockdown has made the situation worse. I had a savings of Rs 2 lakh, which I spent in the first two days of hospitalization. First, I got tested for Covid-19, which cost around Rs 11,000, and then I paid for other expenses. One round of dialysis cost me around Rs 90,000. I have to undergo treatment, which will cost Rs 4 lakh, but I don’t have the money to pay for it. So, I want to go home as I cannot afford the treatment. I am seeking financial assistance from people so that I can pay for the medical expenses and get discharged from the hospital. I cannot continue to stay here even if I die tomorrow.”
