ASHLEY Cain revealed the birth of his son and shared a sweet snap.
The proud papa shared the first picture of the newborn on Instagram this afternoon, with his late daughter Azaylia in particular.

Next to a photo of her holding her baby, Ashley wrote, “Aliyas Diamond Cain – 01/16/24, 4:32am, 9lbs 3oz.
“I will love, appreciate, guide and protect you with all my heart, for the rest of my life.
“And you will have the most beautiful guardian angel that heaven keeps watching over you and protecting you.
“Welcome to the world my son.
“May your body be strong, your mind wise, your heart full of love, and your spirit pure and truly powerful.”
His friends and fans were quick to wish him well.
Ashley Banjo posted: “Congratulations bro.”
Love Island’s Michael Griffiths wrote: “Congratulations bro, so happy for you.”
Gladiator Rhino from the nineties said, “Big congrats bro.”
The proud dad then explained why he was behind the name Aliyas.
He wrote: “What the letter ‘A’ holds is a family tradition, as the first letter of my father’s name and all my uncles’ names. The name ‘Diamond’ is from my grandmother and their mother. It is our family name along with Cain. They are our Vincentian roots, all from our small island and from our great people.”
Ashley has yet to reveal the identity of her son’s mother.
He and former partner Safiyya Vorajee lost their daughter Azaylia, whose middle name was also Diamond, to leukemia in 2021 when she was just eight months old.
Last month, Safiyya told The Sun exclusively of her heartache after learning Ashley was expecting a baby boy with another woman.
This led to criticism from some, but Ashley quickly brushed off any backlash.
Speaking about the conversation he had with Safiyya, he claimed that “memories may differ” but insisted he was committed to working with her to run the Azaylia Foundation, which was set up in honor of their little girl.
Ashley wrote on social media: “Safiyya and I have been through an intense emotional journey together since losing Azaylia.
“When it comes to intense emotions, whether it’s a loss, a breakup, or my recent baby announcement, memory can fluctuate.
“What has never changed is our shared commitment to our daughter’s foundation, which has never been stronger.
“That’s why I will continue to say less and do more.”
Former footballer Ashley, 33, opened up about his joy at becoming a dad again late last year, although he admitted he has mixed emotions about the sadness he still lives with.
But Safiyya, 36, claims he initially wanted to try to have another child with her and the news of his baby left her stunned.
She told us: “I don’t know why he would want another child with me knowing that he is sleeping with someone else.
“When he asked me, it was the moment I was waiting for.
“I breathed a sigh of relief that we can be together again and have a family.
“It was in Azaylia’s garden, in front of our daughter, such a precious, safe space for us.
“He said, ‘I don’t want another child with another woman,’ and asked if we could have one together.
“I couldn’t speak, tears were running down my face.
“During the coming weeks, I waited for him to say, ‘Are we going to be together again?’ I really thought he would, I thought he was just taking it one step at a time.
“But then, out of the blue, he told me he was going to have a child with someone else.
“It was like a hurricane hit me. I’m shocked.
In another exclusive interview, Ashley previously spoke about the emotional moment when he told Safiyya about his pregnancy and said she congratulated him.
But, sobbing and wiping away her tears, Safiyya later told us: “How can I congratulate him when I’m in so much pain?
“Knowing that my child has a sibling who is not related to me shattered my dreams of a future with a full sibling, of that family.
“I feel embarrassed. I speak openly because I have to stop sugar, which is painful for me. I’m devastated.
“Because he didn’t name the woman, I got thousands and thousands of messages with people thinking it was me, congratulating me.”
