Ashwani Kumari is an Indian cricketer who plays for Jharkhand and is known for his long sixes and fast bowling. She is considered one of the best all-rounders in Indian domestic cricket. She was auctioned to Gujarat Giants of the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

Ashwani Kumari was born on Monday, August 25, 1997 (25 years old; as of 2022) in Govindpur, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand state, India. Her zodiac sign is Virgo. She studied till Class 10th at Vivek Vidyalaya, Govindpur and completed her schooling at Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Jamshedpur. From 2019 to 2022, she studied Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). She has loved playing cricket since she was a child and would ask her mother to buy her a plastic bat and ball whenever the toy vendors came. Enter her colony. She was selected for the Jharkhand U-19 team; however, she did not play any matches. Later, she started training under the guidance of national team coach Umesh, who encouraged her to improve her batting ability. She participated in the Senior Women’s T20 Championship and performed well in two matches, one with 84 runs from 50 balls and the other with 95 runs from 55 balls. Based on her performance, she was elected to the East End. She scored 65 quick points against Central in the regional championship game. She was then selected for India’s D team and scored 35 points in a game. She played many matches for the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA). She participated in the 2021 Challenger Cup and achieved a lot. She represented Dumka Daisies women’s team in BYJU’S Jharkhand Women’s T20 Trophy 2022. She was acquired by the Gujarat Giants for Rs 35 lakh in the 2023 Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction.
