Assam HSLC Exam 2024: Board of Secondary Education, Assam has released an important notification announcing the HSLC exam date, introducing OMR objective type question papers and eligibility criteria to appear in class 10th exam. Assam HSLC Exam 2024 will be conducted from the first week of February.

The notification also states that the board will introduce an OMR sheet for answering objection type questions in the Assam HSLC exam 2024. Additionally, the board has ordered that sealed boxes or boxes containing confidential materials should not be opened within the secure confines of a police station or police outpost. SEBA has asked the school inspector to inform students in advance about changes to the exam.

Major Changes in Assam HSLC Exam 2024

The board has also introduced some changes in the SEBA Class 10th exam to be held in 2024. According to the board notification in pdf, it is stated that “OMR sheet will be introduced for answering objective questions (50% of total marks) ) carrying per 1 mark in case of core subjects i.e. English (C1), General Mathematics (C2), General Science (C3) and Social Science (C4). OMR will be personalized hence there will be one OMR sheet in the name of a particular candidate.”

According to the notification, the OMR sheets will be adjusted, whereby one sheet will be allotted to each individual candidate. As for the remaining 50% of the questions, separate answer scripts of 16 pages each will be provided, as in previous cases.

Who is Eligible for Assam HSLC 2024 Exam?

Apart from this major change, the SEBA board has also announced the eligibility criteria for the students who will take the HSLC exam 2024. The eligibility requirements are listed below:

  • Students who have appeared for Unit Test 1 (except those who could not qualify for HSLC 2023) and are attending classes regularly will appear for the following examinations such as Unit Test II, Mid-Year Examination and Pre-Board Examination
  • Those who could not clear the HSLC exam 2023 and those who were re-admitted to class 10 but could not appear for Unit Test 1 must attend classes regularly and must appear for the mid-term exam, Unit Test II and Assam HSLC exams before the board
