At least 12 people were killed in a plane crash in Honduras.
The jet that carried at least 15 passengers “crashed in the sea” shortly after the departure from the island of Roatán on Monday, March 17, announced Honduras National Police in the translated statement of X.
Police have confirmed that there have been 12 deaths so far. Five others survived the collision and saved them with the first answers.
“At this point, there is only one recovery body, and rescue teams continue their work,” the police said.
CBS News reported that the jet was a Lanks Airlines by plane.

Among the dead is the popular singer Aurelio Martinez, 39, according to CBS News.
The recordings posted by the police on social media show rescue teams at the scene by the survivors of water and putting on the bearers while looking for others at night.

“They immediately arrived at the scene of a plane crash that took place 1 km from Roatán International Airport and helplessly help in an unhappy incident,” she continued. “San Pedro Suli and La Ceiba public hospitals are now ready to treat injured passengers.”
“May God protect people’s lives,” Castro concluded.
