He was told he would be taking on “Jack and the Screamstalk” – a challenge where he would climb 50 feet in the air to reach for stars while dealing with creepy crawlies.
It came after he took part in Absolute Carnage with Coleen Rooney and four other trials since the show started last Sunday.
And when he found out about his latest trial, Tulisa quickly comforted the star.
She said, “It’s not necessarily animal related,” to which Jane added, “It’ll be the height.”
They both comforted Dean and hugged him after the verdict was announced.
Jane said she thought the Jack and the Screamstalk challenge would be the tower.
When asked how she copes with the height, if that’s the case, Tulisa said: “How are you doing with it?”
But before he could answer, Coleen quickly interjected, “Dean, you said yesterday when you were crossing that bridge that the height didn’t bother you.”
Dean didn’t answer, but instead asked what the challenge was called.
Fans took to social media to say Coleen had “got it” on Dean.
I’m Famous viewers reveal ‘real reason’ Dean McCullough hasn’t given up on Coleen Rooney’s disgusting trial-
One person wrote: “Dean would have definitely acted scared of heights if Coleen hadn’t shouted ‘yesterday on the bridge you didn’t mind heights Dean’. She knows his damsel in distress part is fake.”
Another added: “Coleen just served Dean a reality check and I’m HERE for it!”
And a third person said: “Anyone notice Dean’s face at the trial and when Coleen revealed he said he wasn’t afraid of heights, he had to stop pretending he was.”
With so much time devoted to the trials and Dean increasingly stressed by the challenge, viewers say the other inmates don’t get a chance to do anything.
Moving on to X (formerly Twitter), fans are now looking for a new twist to stop a repeat.
I’m a Celebrity 2024 – late entries
MAURA Higgins is a latecomer to I’m A Celeb 2024. But who’s joining her?
One wrote: “Dear #ImACeleb producers – please change the rules on who gets voted off for the trials. I’m SO sick of watching Dean scream through this stuff.”
Another added: “I wish ITV would change it so that if a celebrity has done pre-judging they can’t be nominated, we have to see them all in rehearsal and not the same dramatic Dean mmmkay.”
A third said: “They need to change the rules and limit the number of attempts a celeb can make.
“Dean seems to be maliciously targeted for reveling in his obvious trauma. Now this is getting ridiculous and boring.”
A fourth remarked: “This has been one of the most enjoyable seasons yet, so ITV don’t spoil it.
“If Dean keeps doing trials everyone will get grumpy and it will destroy him, change the rules.”
Another wrote: “They need to change the rules where the person officiating is exempt the next day.”
While a sixth said: “He wants #ImACeleb to change the rules so whoever did the rehearsal can’t be voted off the next one – it gets boring when the same person does them.”
Dean is now in the running to become the star who has done the most Bushtucker trials in show history.
Katie Price and Gillian McKeith currently share the title, having each faced seven during their time in the jungle.
Jack and the Screamstalk puts it at six – and so far there have only been eight.
GK Barry, Danny Jones and Coleen all did one with him, while Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles did one together as part of their initiation into the show.
