In her new film A24, Ayo Edebiri portrays a journalist who inadvertently finds herself at a cult gathering.
A24 released a trailer for Opus, in which Bear Emmy winner Edibiri, 29, co-stars with John Malkovich. Malkovich plays a well-known — but reclusive — musician named Moretti, who invites Edibiri’s character, Ariel Ekton, to spend the weekend at his compound to take part in an “exclusive listening experience” for his new album.
Upon arriving at the Moretti estate, Ariel meets a group of celebrities and journalists and quickly becomes alarmed as the people at the estate begin to behave strangely. When Ariel asks the others present if they’re worried, she’s not taken seriously – and things seem to end up getting dangerous.
