Sylvester Stallone and Matthew Modine play cops and robbers (stranger things) in the trailer for Lionsgate’s crime thriller, Backtrace. The film’s cast also includes Ryan Guzman (Heroes Reborn), and Meadow Williams (Den of Thieves), as well as veteran character actor Christopher McDonald (whose recent roles include an exciting golfer last year).
Written by Mike Maples and directed by Brian A. Miller, Backtrace When a bank robbery goes wrong, mastermind Macdonald (Modine) loses his memory and is imprisoned in a mental hospital. Years later, however, he is captured by fellow inmate Lucas (Guzman) and ward doctor Irene (Williams), who attempt to force him to regain his memory in the hope of finding the millions of dollars McDonald stashed. before he was captured.Meanwhile, grizzled Detective Sykes (Stallone) and the same “Tough” FBI agent Franks (McDonald) both try to complete the hunt for MacDonald, regardless of the other’s cooperation.

Lionsgate has now released the official trailer and poster Backtrace, ahead of its release in theaters and on-demand in December. You can view them in the space below.
Miller has spent the past few years directing direct-to-video products such as Bruce Willis’ action thriller vice and princeand Backtrace Judging from the trailer, this appears to be part of the same block of cheesy genre fare as those respective films.Of course, if that kind of high-concept B-movie thing is your (not-so) guilty pleasure, then Backtrace Might be worth watching (silly amnesia related plot points, cop show clichés, etc.). Likewise, the film’s cast is pretty good, especially by direct-to-video action movie standards.
Of course, Stallone has returned to the big screen before Backtrace Arriving on site next month.The actor returns as Rocky Balboa in next week’s sequel Creed II He’s reprising another of his iconic roles (John Rambo, to be exact) in a movie currently filming first blood: last bloodaka. first blood 5.Sly also doesn’t plan on exiting the franchise world after these movies and is preparing to return escape plan Property and Escape Room 3: Devil’s Station Next year, he will (probably) return to his role as Barney Ross. The Expendables 4 – assuming the belated sequel ends up being successful, anyway.
