Barry Keoghan Says He's 'Proud' of Sabrina Carpenter for Grammy Nominations: 'I've Got to Get on the Phone Soon'

Sabrina Carpenter is now a Grammy-nominated artist — and her boyfriend couldn’t be happier!

After the Recording Academy announced their choices for the 2025 awards on Friday, November 8, Barry Keoghan expressed how “proud” he was of his musician girlfriend, 25, as he appeared on The Jess Cagle Show.

Reacting to Carpenter’s six nominations — including a song of the year nod for “Please Please Please,” for which Keoghan starred in the music video — the Irish actor, 32, said: “Brilliant, I know. Absolutely brilliant. Fucking brilliant, guys.”

“No, I’m really, really happy for her, honestly, and I have to get back to you soon,” he continued on the SiriusXM show, before teasing the hosts for “putting him on the spot.”

After the hosts joked that he probably knew the song was up for Grammys while working on the video, he said, “Yeah, definitely, definitely.”

“But no, I’m really, really… I don’t know anyone who works that hard. I’m in awe of her work and how dedicated she is and the standards she sets,” added Keoghan. “Especially being in that music video, just, she knows the vision. She knows what she wants.”

The Saltburn star — who first sparked dating rumors with the “Espressa” singer in late 2023 — also shared a sweet message about the career milestone on Carpenter’s own post reacting to the news.
