Nina, who is expecting her third child with husband Ted, has been very open about her father’s dementia diagnosis on the show. Back in March, the journalist detailed the struggles of people with dementia and the impact on their families.

“We were lucky my dad never got angry,” she explained. “I knew it could happen with different forms of dementia, but he didn’t understand it was happening. When we talked about changing the environment, maybe respite care for him. Well, he thinks there’s nothing wrong with that.”

She continued, “Having to say nonsense all the time just breaks your heart, but it’s what’s best for him. There are times, ‘if I don’t convince him to help us through. past this hump, we won’t get there.'”
