Ben Affleck was spotted wearing a wedding ring on Sunday, May 19, amid ongoing rumors of strain in his marriage to Jennifer Lopez.
The actor, 51, was photographed alone in his car in a plaid shirt – with a ring on his left hand above the steering wheel – in Los Angeles.
Affleck and Lopez, 54, were seen together for the first time in 47 days on May 16 at an event to support their children. The two arrived separately, but were both seen wearing wedding rings as they left together, according to a source.
That same day, Lopez “liked” an Instagram post, which described personality traits that prevent people from building healthy relationships, shared by relationship coach Lenna Marsak.

Sources: Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are living separately amid marital strife
Multiple sources have since told PEOPLE that Affleck and Lopez are living separately while they are both in Los Angeles. A source close to Lopez said that Affleck did not stay at the couple’s Los Angeles home, but chose to stay at one of their other properties while filming Accountant 2.
Another source told PEOPLE that the couple “didn’t celebrate Mother’s Day together.”
The “Waiting for Tonight” singer and Affleck first dated from 2002 to 2004 after meeting on the set of their movie Gigli. The two rekindled their romance in 2021 and married the following year.

While separated, Lopez was married to Marc Anthony, with whom she shares twin children, Max and Emma, both 16. Meanwhile, Affleck was married to Jennifer Garner and the two share three children, Violet, 18 , Seraphina, 15 and Samuel, 12.
In 2022, Lopez opened up about her breakup with Affleck while speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, saying it was “so painful.”

“Once we called off that wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest heartbreak of my life. I honestly felt like I was going to die,” Lopez said. “It sent me into a spiral for the next 18 years where I just couldn’t get it right. But now, 20 years later, it has a happy ending. She went on to talk about her latest album This is me…Now and called Affleck her “biggest fan.”
The Batman the actor appeared in Lopez’s documentary The greatest love story never told, released in February on Prime Video, and talked about their new relationship. Affleck called himself and Lopez “two people with different approaches trying to learn to compromise.”
