Kopell called his scenes with Prowse, who died in 1996 aged 59, “stunning”. The actor also recalled aboard the Enchanted Princess how producers thought he looked “a little older than we wanted you to look” during his time on the show from 1977 to 1987, so they gave him “beautiful hair” that Kopell “proudly stretcher, ” even during the love scene with Prowse.
“I was so worried,” Kopell said. “We got a scene in bed and she said, ‘Charles Boyer had a scene very similar to this. And that was right before the scene was set for this beautiful young lady [he said]’Darling, if possible during this very sexy scene, I get excited. At the same time during this very sexy scene, if I don’t get excited, forgive me, please.’ We made a scene. My hair clip didn’t fall out. Thank goodness.”
