Bette Midler Asks if It's 'Too Late' for Her to Join Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: 'In the Mood to Talk Some S—'

Bette Midler has starred in movies, shared her talents on stage and even won a few Grammys over the years — but now she’s ready for her Bravo moment.

The 78-year-old actress posed a question to her followers on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday: Could she still join the cast The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?

Is it too late to become a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills, the actress asked her fans. “I’ve never watched it, but I’m in the mood to talk some shit. And get paid for it? Dream! #RHOBH.”

The official Bravo account on Xu was quick to respond to Midler’s query.

“Talk about a glorious crossover,” the network wrote next to the winking emoticon and the diamond icon.

After Andy Cohen also responded to Midler with a promising post that teased, “it’s about time,” the four-time Golden Globe winner gave the TV host, 55, a suggestion for her tagline on the show.

“I think my slogan should be: ‘Those beaches don’t know what’s going to hit them!!’ Midler wrote.

RHOBH has already seen cameos from the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis, Paris Hilton, David Foster, Kris Jenner and more famous faces over the years, and a potential Midler appearance would certainly add to the fun story.

Curtis, a long-time friend of cast member Kyle Richards, appeared in the memorable series in 2022 when Richards hosted an event for Curtis’ charity My Hand in Yours. She also made cameos in Season 4 and later during Season 12.

While Midler watches a RHOBH role, her daughter Sophie von Haselberg recently opened up to PEOPLE about what she called “the whole non-baby thing.” Von Haselberg, 37 – who Midler shares with artist Martin von Haselberg – said last month that she “can’t help who my parents are”.

“I was born and they were what they were, and that’s it,” she explained. “I also can’t help how much I love acting. So those two things are at work all the time.”

Pretending that the “nepo baby” discourse isn’t a thing, von Haselberg said, feels like “adding shame to it.”

“Facing it head on seems like the healthiest way to deal with it,” she continued. “Does therapy help? Yes, it absolutely does. Because these are really deep-rooted issues, complicated by being in the public eye.”
