Beyoncé Rocks Asymmetrical Cut She ‘Always Wanted’ for CR Fashion Book Shoot

Beyoncé is having a little fun with the new look she’s always wanted to try.

In a new interview with CR fashion bookThe 32-time Grammy winner, 42, stepped out of her comfort zone with some bold and daring styles.

“In the 90s, I always wanted an asymmetrical cut, but my mother wouldn’t let me. So I’m having the best time on this shoot,” the Houston native told the magazine.

To accompany the interview, the outlet shared photos of Beyoncé rocking fashion that fans have never seen from the star.

One image shows the “Crazy in Love” singer with her hair cut into a shaggy bun.

The singer, who has been blonde for almost a decade, switched things up for a silver, gray and black “asymmetrical cut”.

In other photos from the shoot, the “Diva” hitmaker was seen as a redhead.

Beyoncé’s creative expression seems to have gone into overdrive lately.

On February 11, the entertainer starred in a Verizon Super Bowl commercial, and after the commercial, she let her fans know that her second act renaissance the album would be available on March 29.

But the surprises did not end there. On the same day, Beyoncé also released two new songs — “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em” — as she revealed that she would be transitioning into the country genre.

“Hair and the deeply personal story it plays in life have always been sacred to me. Hair care is a ritual that nourishes the soul and I am so excited to share it with you,” she said in a social media post on February 21 while launching her brand Cécred.

She celebrated the new line with an intimate party at Revery in Los Angeles.

Attendees wore all white for the event — including Beyoncé and her mother Tina Knowles (who is the VP of her brand).

Knowles, 74, was a hairdresser before her eldest daughter became an international star.

In 1999, while a member of the girl group Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé and her bandmates filmed the music video for their single “Bills, Bills, Bills” in a hair salon as a tribute to the place where they spent time as teenagers.

Speaking with CR fashion book about curling, the superstar explained the importance of hair in her everyday life.

“Hair is actually the first step when I create tours, films and albums; being able to see the hairstyles first is what affects the sound, the look… everything.”⁠
