Bhad Bhabie Says 'My Cancer Medication' Caused Weight Loss, Sparking Online Concern

Rapper Bhad Bhabie has responded to recent criticism of her appearance, saying her weight loss is down to “cancer drugs”.

“I’m sorry that they released me because of the anti-cancer drugs [sic] weight,” Bhabie, 21, wrote in a post she shared on her Instagram Stories on November 7.

“It’s slowly coming back to me. So stop running with the worst narratives.”

The performer (real name: Danielle Bregoli) hasn’t revealed any details about her illness — or what medications she’s taking.

Bhad Bhabie said she is on “cancer medication” but did not share any further details about her health.

Her announcement comes amid comments from fans and critics alike, who have remarked that she looks “skinnier”, “her whole face has changed” and “she looks so different”.

After her post about taking cancer medication, fans commented, “People need to have more empathy instead of jumping to conclusions and assuming,”

“Praying for you and your health!!! Your baby needs you!!” another fan added.

Bhabie — who became an overnight online sensation after 2016 Dr. Phil appearance, where she infamously said, “Cash me out, how about that?” — turned her fame into a music and modeling career. She recently posed for Marc Jacobs while pregnant with her first child, daughter Kali Love, whom she welcomed with boyfriend Le Vaughn.

She also starred in the reality series for Snapchat, the so-called Raising Bhabia, in 2019

PEOPLE has reached out to Bhabie for comment.
