In 2013, she and her husband were booked for forging documents and cheating. The case was registered at Aliganj police station in Lucknow by former public relations officer Rajeev Kumar Yadav. Yadav alleged that in 2009, Raghuraj Pratap Singh opened a bank account in his name and submitted forged documents and signatures. He further claimed that HDFC Bank Aliganj branch manager Waliullah Sarvar Ali helped Raghuraj open the account without verifying the documents and their signatures. The case was registered under IPC sections 419, 420, 467, 468 and 471, which include charges of forgery of valuable security information and cheating by impersonation.

- In February 2023, she filed a case against Uttar Pradesh MP Akashy Pratap Singh, accusing him of fraudulently acquiring a majority stake in the company Shree Da Properties Private Limited. She said in her complaint,
Akshay Pratap Singh obtained a majority stake in the company by forging digital signatures and appointed herself and her colleagues as directors of the company. “
Akshay and five others were charged under the Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police. The case was registered under sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 109 and 120B of the IPC based on Bhanvi’s complaint.
- In April 2023, her husband Raghuraj filed for divorce from her on the grounds of mental cruelty and abandonment. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for May 23, 2023. The court gave Bhanvi time to respond as the divorce was not filed on common grounds. In the divorce case, he claimed that Banvi left the matrimonial home and did not live with him. He further stated that his family faced many problems after she made false accusations against his brother. Their relationship reportedly began to sour when Raghuraj sided with his brother against his wife.
