Bharti Singh, also known by her stage name Lalli, is a native of Amritsar, Punjab. Her journey to the silver screen was not an easy one. When she was young, her father died, and her mother raised her and her two other siblings alone. She has been criticized for her weight since she entered the workforce. Despite all the problems and criticism, Buddy’s hard work and sheer talent brought her success and enabled her to shut down all the trolls. In a short span of time, Bharti’s comedy performances made millions of people die laughing and won her many awards. Participating in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Season 4 (2008) and reaching the top 4 finals was a big break for Bharti and her comedy was highly appreciated. Since then, she has never looked back. She is very popular with the audience as can be seen from the comedy reality show “Comedy Circus” series. Bhatti completed his secondary education from Government School, Amritsar. To further her studies, she joined Punjab Technical University and completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) and postgraduate graduation in History. In 2008, Bharti made her television debut in the stand-up comedy reality TV show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Season, where she reached the semi-finals. She has since participated in four different seasons of Comedy Circus.
Bharti Singh has participated in four different seasons of Comedy 3 Ka Tadka (2009), alongside Paresh Ganatra and Sharad Kelkar. Maha-Sangram (2010), again with Paresh Ganatra and Sharad Kelkar in Ke SuperStars (2010) with Paresh Ganatra Ganatra) and comedy circus Ka Jadoo (2010).

- On November 21, 2020, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested her from her residence in Mumbai after finding 86.5 grams of marijuana at her home in an apartment complex in Andheri, Mumbai. The next day, on November 22, 2020, her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa was also arrested by the NCB for allegedly possessing and using cannabis. However, they were later released on bail. In October 2022, the NCB submitted a 200-page charge sheet against Bharti and her husband.
