Bhumika Arora was born (date of birth unknown) in 1988 (age 33; as of 2021) in Karnal, Haryana. She graduated from DAV College, Chandigarh with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Bhumika lives in a small city in Haryana. When she was a child, she often watched international models on television. She wanted to be a model, but her parents wanted her to finish school first and then start modeling. As a teenager, Bhumika was ashamed of her height. Even some of her classmates made fun of her because of her tall stature and masculine features. In college, Bhumika realized she should be a model. Her college friends told her she was tall and should try modeling. At the time she didn’t agree with her friend. One day, her friend sent a photo of Bhumika to a local magazine, and her photo was published in the magazine. The next day, she was delighted to see her picture in a magazine. Then she realized she had what it took to model. She asked her parents about it, but they denied it and asked Bhumika to complete her studies first and then start modeling. She completed her studies and then asked her parents for two years so that she could work as a model. She assured them that if nothing else happened, she would continue her studies. She came to Delhi and started working as a model.

- Bhumika learned modeling through selfies. She claims that when she started modeling, everything was new. She is the only Indian girl at Lakme Fashion Week. She said in an interview,
I don’t know why there are so few Indian models in the West. But being Indian does help me. If I go to a casting, I’m usually the only Indian girl there, which helps me stand out. “
- Bhumika doesn’t like to wear anything see-through in her shows. During one of her fashion shows, when a designer told her she had to wear see-through clothes, she completely denied it.
- Bhumika said in an interview that models do not diet to maintain their figures. She added,
The models I know neither stop eating nor take extreme measures to stay slim. They won’t starve themselves to death. Instead, they eat healthy foods and exercise regularly to stay in shape. “
