Bianca Andreescu was born on Friday, June 16, 2000 in Mississauga, Canada (age 19, 2019). Her zodiac sign is Gemini. She attended Bill Crothers secondary school in Markham, Canada. Bianca did not go to college to focus on her tennis career. Although Bianca was born in Canada, her parents immigrated there from Romania and she is of Romanian descent. Bianca’s first break came in 2014 when she was selected by the Canadian Under-14 team to represent Canada at the “Les Petits As” tournament in France. “Les Petits As” is the most prestigious under-14 tournament in the world. Bianca won the tournament, and it was after winning this tournament that she began seriously pursuing tennis as a career. At one point, she said in an interview that she felt special that she signed her first autograph and had her first interview in France.
In 2014, she competed in numerous games at the junior level and ended the year by winning the Orange Bowl in Florida. In 2015, Bianca made her International Tennis Federation (ITF) debut by participating in the 25K Gatineau event, but lost in the final. However, in December 2015, at just 15 years old, she became the first Canadian since 2009 to win the Class A Under-18 “Orange Bowl” tournament.
In 2016, Bianca participated in the “Challengers National Bank of Gatineau 2016” tournament and won her first ITF title. Bianca’s old friend, Romanian player Simona Halep, also participated. Simone saw Bianca play and strongly advised her to turn professional as soon as possible. Bianca took her advice and turned pro in 2017.
In 2017, Bianca competed and won two 25K titles. After that, she participated in the “Citi Open” and defeated Kristina Mladenovic, ranked 13th in the world. The victory also made her the first player born in the 2000s to defeat a top 20 player. Although she didn’t win, she made a name for herself at the Citi Open. 2019 was a breakthrough year for her. She won her first “125K WTA Championship” title in Newport Beach, USA. She reached the semifinals of the Mexican Open. She also achieved her best world ranking of No. 60 after the Mexico Open.

In August 2019, Bianca participated in the 2019 Rogers Cup (Canadian Open). She reached the final and defeated Serena Williams, becoming the first Canadian to win the Rogers Cup since 1969. She said it was one of the biggest wins of her career because it brought joy and pride to her country.
In September 2019, she set multiple records after defeating Serena Williams at the US Open. She became the first Canadian woman to win a Grand Slam singles title, the first woman to win the U.S. Open in her debut, and the first player born in the 2000s to win a Grand Slam tournament. This also helped her achieve a ranking of fifth in the world.
