Billie Eilish Wears Thrifted Mary Jane Shoes in the Most Gen-Z Forward Outfit of the 2024 Golden Globes

Billie Eilish is clearly made for the red carpet.

When she stepped out in scientific style at the 2024 Golden Globes, she gave a masterclass in yet another trendy look.

On Sunday, the 22-year-old singer — who won Best Original Song for Barbie“What was I made for?” with her brother Finneas O’Connell — wore a school uniform-inspired outfit with cheap heels.

Eilish’s Willy Chavarria set featured a beige pleated skirt (“I just love that it looks like shorts,” she told Party tonight ), an oversized black blazer and a light blue shirt with a Peter Pan collar that she accessorized with a ribbon she recently received as a birthday present.

She completed the look with Anita Ko jewelry and retro Mary Jane heels that she bought at a thrift store last year.

After the carpet, Eilish’s ensemble received even more attention when she took the stage to accept her Golden Globe.

“Thank you so much. The Golden Globes, I didn’t expect this at this moment. Thank you to my brother Finneas, you are the reason I am who I am,” the musician said during her speech. “I want to thank Greta and Noah for making this amazing film. I want to thank Margot for being the Margot we know and love.”

“I want to thank Mattel and Interscope, my label, and Darkroom and my amazing team — Chelsea and Michelle — and my managers and my mom. My mom and my dad and again my brother,” she continued.

“And you know, it was almost exactly a year ago when we were shown the movie and I was very, very miserable and depressed at the time and writing that song kind of saved me,” she concluded. “And a year later, here we are and it’s really surreal. I feel incredibly, incredibly happy. Incredibly happy and grateful, and you scare me to death – everyone in this room – but thank you so much. Thank you, it means the world.”

The sibling’s big win comes just days after they were honored at this year’s Palm Springs Palm Springs International Film Festival on January 4th.

Even then, Eilish brought her cool-girl sensibilities with edgy outfits that screamed “trendsetter.”

The “Ocean Eyes” singer wore a black, red and gold scarf tied around her back that complemented her two-tone black and red hair and shades with yellow lenses.

The piece that jumped out at us (or should we say jumped out) is definitely her fashion accessory — a backpack with the Playboy bunny logo!
