Harry Burns’ iconic sweater is officially lost to the ages. Probably.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Billy Crystal revealed that he doesn’t know what he did with his character’s classic white sweater from When Harry met Sally.

When asked if he still had clothes from the film’s wardrobe, Crystal, 76, said: “I have a lot. I’m a bit of a clothes horse. I don’t have that sweater, but I had it for years, the one from Harry and Sally — the real one.”

I was scratching my head when I saw other people — you’ve seen them on social media wearing a sweater, holding the pose from that scene. I wish I had that sweater […].”

The comedian concluded his response with a well-intentioned plea to the UCLA theater department.
