Wamiqa Gabbi is an Indian actress and model who works in Punjabi, Hindi and Telugu films. She came into limelight with her appearance in the Punjabi song Angreji Wali Madam (2017).

She attended St. Xavier’s School, Chandigarh and went on to DAV College for graduation. She was inclined towards acting from an early age. She started her acting career at the age of 8 as a child artist in the Punjabi TV series Saude Dillan De. She then participated in a dance show judged by Aamir Khan, during which Wamika was offered a role in Jab We Met. Later, she played small roles in Hindi films Love Aaj Kal and Bittoo Boss. Vamika is also classically trained in dance and is a trained Kathak dancer.

Profession
Wamika started her acting career in 2013 with the Punjabi film Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 as the female lead. In the same year, she made her debut in Hindi films playing the role of Tanisha in the film “Sixteen”. She subsequently made her debut in Tamil films with Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam; in Telugu films with Bhale Manchi Roju; and in Malayalam film Godha.

In 2017, she featured in the Punjabi song “Angreji Wali Madam” and gained widespread popularity with her performance. She has also acted in Punjabi films like “Ishq Brandy”, “Ishq Haazir Hai” and “Nikka Zaildar”.
In 2019, she appeared in the Punjabi film Dil Diyan Gallan opposite Parmish Verma.
