Fans will have to wait a little longer to see Billy Joel performing live.
UPTOWN GIRL, 75, published on Instagram on Tuesday, March 11, and informed fans to delay his upcoming tour for four months because of a “health condition” because he must “undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors” to recover after a recent surgery.
According to a statement shared by his team, delayed dates consist of eight shows throughout North America and Europe, some of which are common compounds with sting and Stevie Nicks. Joel shared raised dates for seven of the eight shows, and the final marked “TBD”.
“Joel is expected to recover completely,” he continued his team’s statement. “The tour will continue at the Acrisurese stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5, 2025.”

The “Vienna” musician also shared his statement with fans. “As I regret to delay any show, my health must be first,” he said.
“I look forward to returning to the stage and sharing the joy of living music with our amazing fans,” Joel wrote. “Thanks for your understanding.”
After his show at the Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, his tour will continue with exhibitions in cities, including New York City, Washington, DC, Cincinnati, New Orleans and more. The complete schedule is available on his website.
Joel recently fell during a concert on February 22 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, it seems to be stumbled, falling backwards and landing on the side during the 1980 appearance “It’s still a rock and roll for me.”
According to the shots of the concert, the winner of Grammy quickly recovered and returned to his feet as the audience applauded.
