Billy Joel gives his two cents on Justin Timberlake’s recent arrest.
Hours after the “Mirrors” singer, 43, was arrested and charged with DWI in Sag Harbor, New York, reporters spoke with Joel, 75, at the hotel where Timberlake was last seen before his arrest.
“Judge not lest you be judged,” Piano Man told PIX11 News outside the American Hotel where he had a bite to eat. He also shared with the journalists who gathered in front of the institution that he “actually doesn’t know that much” and in return “no comment”.

In another video shared on social media, a PIX11 reporter is seen asking Joel if he frequents the place, to which he replied, “When I’m here, yes.”

Timberlake was arrested shortly after midnight on Tuesday, June 18 after failing to stop at a stop sign in his 2025 BMW.

“Upon investigation, it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle while intoxicated,” Sag Harbor Village Police said in a news release. “Mr. Timberlake was arrested, processed and held overnight pending a morning hearing. Mr. Timberlake was arraigned in Sag Harbor Village Court on June 18, 2024 at 9:30 a.m., where he was released on his own recognizance.”

According to a police report obtained by PEOPLE, Timberlake “failed all standardized field sobriety tests” during his arrest, with the arresting officer claiming his “eyes were bloodshot and glassy, his breath smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage , he couldn’t share attention, he had slow speech, he was insecure.”

Timberlake claimed to the office that he only had “one martini” before refusing the breathalyzer test. After being released Tuesday morning, Timberlake is due back in court for a hearing on July 26.
