Billy Zane Channels Marlon Brando's Godfather Performance in Uncanny First Look at His Biopic About Legendary Actor

Billy Zane continues to bring the late Marlon Brando back from the dead with his new film.

Zane, 58, is producing and starring in the upcoming film Waltz with Brandobiopic that follows Brando through the 1970s, offering insight into the Oscar-winning legend in Last Tango in Paris and Godfather.

The new film by director and co-writer Bill Fishman is an adaptation of Bernard Judge’s book of the same name from 2011. The book is about “a young architect from Los Angeles who quite unexpectedly finds himself living on an uninhabited atoll in the South Pacific with his client, Marlon Brando.”

Judge, who died in 2021, was an award-winning architect whose building innovations focused on environmental sustainability. Brando hired him to build a house on Tahiti’s 12-island atoll of Tetiaroa. In May, Zane and fellow producers Fishman and Dean Bloxom announced that they had pledged to send 5% of the film’s proceeds to the people of Tetiaro.
