The TIKTOK video has taken people by surprise as they try to figure out what exactly the sound is saying.
People were confused by the audio illusion, which seems to say one of two words: green needle and/or brainstorm.

But the puzzle has left people scratching their heads, unable to figure out why exactly they’re hearing something completely different from the person sitting next to them.
An audio illusion posted on @jarredjermaine’s TikTok account shows an image of the toy character Brainstorm from the Ben 10 TV series, saying “Brainstorm” out loud when pressed.
However, some people who listened to the audio found that they didn’t hear everything.
In fact, many claimed to have heard the words “green marlin.”

The words you hear will sound different depending on what you are concentrating on, even though the sound is exactly the same every time you play it.
Jarred told his viewers: “Watch the video again, but try to close your eyes and see what you hear.”
People were stunned by the audio clip which has now gone viral with over 430k listeners.
Some claimed that they could hear completely different words, while others insisted that they could only hear the green needle.
One person wrote: “I can hear ‘Green Marlin’ thinking Green Marlin, Green Marlin.”
Another commented: “I hear brain needle and green storm.”
“I hear a green needle,” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, the fourth said: “First I listen to the green needle, and then I think the rest of the time.”
“BROTHER HOW GREEN NEEDLE AND BRAINSTORM SOUND SO DIFFERENT,” a fifth stated.
Someone else added: “Brain needle or gray needle.”
