Blac Chyna has reached a turning point in her sobriety journey.
On Monday, the TV personality, who now goes by her birth name Angela White, celebrated a year of sobriety by appearing makeup-free as a guest on Tamron Hallwhere she was also surprised by her once estranged mother Tokyo Toni.
Before the talk show host presented her guest with a purple “Congratulations” cake and a bouquet of flowers, White shared that despite it not being easy, she managed to keep her composure.
“Not even a little glass, a little wine, a little of this, nothing. Like ‘No, I’m fine. No, I’m clean. I’ll have a Red Bull,’ White told the 53-year-old Hall, noting that what helps her sobriety is the idea of being able to support others with more than just financial means.

“What helped me was coming down to reality and then realizing, like, ‘OK, am I hurting or helping other people around me?’ And I didn’t help with money or anything like that, but I didn’t want to continue to hurt people around me or even have my children grow up watching me do these things,” the 35-year-old said.
Hall then surprised a teary-eyed White and the audience by bringing out White’s mother, reality star Tokyo Toni, who presented her daughter with a bundle of helium-filled balloons. Mother and daughter reconciled after a brief period of estrangement earlier this summer.

As Toni, 51, hugged her daughter and sat with her on the couch, she recounted how difficult it was for her to raise White as a single teenage mother, telling Hall: “First of all, being a young girl, being a young lady, those times were different of these.”
Toni seems immensely proud of White, who has remained committed to her sobriety journey while in Hollywood.
“What it does to me is to see her grow, because Hollywood does things to people,” Toni remarked. “It changes you and to see her differently, meaning in a bad way, I had to go inside and get her out.”
Earlier this year, White shared the elective surgery she underwent to remove implants from her breasts and buttocks. She also shared on Instagram that she dissolved the fillers on her face.

“Seeing her sober, no makeup, no fillers, this is what I gave birth to. Angela,” Toni told Hall on Monday’s episode of the talk show. “I gave birth to this. And she has, so everyone in the world knows, she has the biggest heart in the world. She has a very big heart.”
In a deliberate effort to look more natural, White went makeup-free for the interview, explaining her decision to go bare-faced to Hall: “This is my day-to-day. I dress up and make up and glam up and everything and I feel like it’s more of the Blac Chyna side of the brand. This is just me, this is Angela.”
Since embracing sobriety, White, who shares daughter Dream Renée, 6, with Rob Kardashian and son King Cair, 10, with Tyga, has incorporated fitness into her lifestyle. The real Blac Chyna star wrote alongside a workout video on Instagram in August: “Combined, mind, body and soul provide endless possibilities. Be safe, God bless you all.”
