Blake Lively Keeps Wearing Florals As a Nod to Her It Ends with Us Character — Recreate Her Looks from $20

A good outfit starts with flowers – according to Blake Lively, that is.

The 36-year-old has been busy for the past few weeks, launching her new hair care line, Blake Brown, posing for magazine covers and supporting her loved ones. She was also preparing for the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover It ends with us, which is now in theaters, and she played that role. Her on-screen character Lily Bloom is a florist, so naturally her outfit included lots of flowers: her $19,000 Valentino jeans were embellished with cutouts and embroidered buds; her 1994 vintage Vivienne Westwood dress was plastered with a celebrity-favored print; and many of her mini dresses practically had petals.

If you have read the book, you will know that there are references to Search None. These blue and white pants feel like a nautical nod to the animated film, and they are a more relaxed alternative to the denim that Lively wore.

There’s no need to try to wear matching underwear or worry about it being see-through.”

If Lively is making you want to expand your own collection of (ridiculous, we know) mini dresses, Nordstrom has this little red number that’s a good way to see off summer while it’s still warm outside. It is made of delicate lace fabric and has a moderate V-neckline for ventilation. Plus, the fiery color almost matches Bloom’s hair.

If you want to extend its shelf life, wear it with leggings or wear it as a long tunic with leggings. You can also opt for something longer like this midi dress which still has its own floral flair and looks like something Lively wore.

This pair of Levi’s jeans is just a slightly improved version of those in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. They’re more wearable than Lively’s dazzling Versace pair as they still look mostly neutral, with just a few extra embellishments showing on one side.

They also don’t need much to work: a basic tank top like this one is all you need, but if you want something with more obvious motifs, a bolder blouse with a higher collar is also an option.
