Blake Lively Meets Idol Emma Bunton Wearing Baby Spice Necklace She's Had Since Age 10: 'Is That Weird?'

While promoting her new film It ends with us on Heart radio ahead of the London premiere, the 36-year-old actress was surprised by her idol, Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice herself. When the Spice Girls alum walked into the room, Lively was shocked, telling the singer: “This is so crazy, you have no idea.”

Even crazier? Lively wore the same embellished “Baby” necklace she’s had since she was a 10-year-old Spice Girls fan.

At one point during the Friday, Aug. 9 episode, Bunton, 48, asked Gossip Girl alum, “I saw a picture of you once. Did you dress up as Baby Spice?

“Pretty often, pretty often,” Lively replied.

She then pointed to a piece of jewelry around her neck saying, “I’ve been wearing my necklace that I’ve had since I was 10. I literally keep it in a safe. It’s like my wedding ring and this.”

“Can I take a picture of you wearing my necklace?” the actress continued. “Because then my necklace was forged with you, like it was really on you. Is that so strange? Is that strange?”

Bunton happily agreed and the duo took a photo holding a framed childhood picture of Lively aged 10, wearing a necklace.

The singer also shared that she is a mutual fan. “I was a fan of yours, too,” Bunton told Lively. “I watched Gossip Girl back to front several times.”

Bunton was previously in the British girl group Spice Girls, which formed in 1994 and dominated the pop music scene during the 1990s. Dubbed “Baby Spice”, she was in the group alongside Mel B (“Scary Spice”), Melanie C (“Sporty Spice”), Geri Halliwell (“Ginger Spice”) and Victoria Beckham (“Posh Spice”).

While promoting her debut Blake Brown hair care line earlier this month, Lively told PEOPLE that she often leans on the Spice Girls when choosing her outfits.

“I’m a pretty shy person, so if I’m going somewhere, I tend to pick a character,” she said. “It’s like, ‘Which Spice Girl am I today? Or any character Sex in the city?'”

She added: “Because I style myself, I wondered what kind of character it is that allows me to go out on something that’s full of stimulation and attention [like the Super Bowl]…which is the entrance?”
