Blake Lively Pokes Fun at Kate Middleton Photoshop Drama to Announce Her New Betty Buzz Products

Blake Lively seems to have some royal inspiration for her latest Betty Buzz campaign.

On Friday, the 36-year-old actress, who founded a bubbly mixer company in 2021, took to social media to announce four new flavors of her Betty Buzz and Betty Booze drinks, which are coming out in May.

In an Instagram post, Lively appeared to play off the controversy surrounding Kate Middleton’s Mother’s Day photo.

“So excited to share this new photo I just took today to announce our 4 new @bettybuzz & @bettybooze products! Now you know why I’ve been MIA,” the Gossip girl the alum wrote in her description of the carousel.

In the first photo, Lively sits in a chair while lounging by the pool, smiling as she holds one of the newest flavors to be added to her beverage brand.

However, the photo appears to include several Photoshop errors. For starters, her right hand has an abnormally large thumb, and the ring is crooked across several fingers. The chair he is sitting on defies the laws of physics because it is not connected.

A disproportionate lemon also falls from the sky above her.

Lively’s campaign follows the controversy surrounding Kate’s family photo. On March 10, the Princess of Wales, 42, posted an official photo with her children to celebrate Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom

What was supposed to be a sweet holiday picture soon caused quite a stir as viewers noticed that several things in the portrait were not natural. Royal watchers later found at least 16 editing errors that proved the image had been photoshopped.

The errors included: Princess Charlotte’s hair was cut oddly, Prince Louis’ finger was seemingly cut off, and Princess Kate’s hair looked airbrushed, among other inconsistencies.

The King of the Netherlands ridiculed the controversy with the photos of Kate Middleton: ‘At least I didn’t do it in Photoshop’

Kate later apologized and admitted she “occasionally experiments with editing” after the backlash.

On Thursday, Instagram even issued a warning about the image.

Meanwhile, Lively’s photo became a hit on social media.

“Haters will say it’s photoshop,” commented the official Betty Buzz Instagram account. “Kate works hard but Blake works harder,” another person wrote.

The new flavors consist of two brand new sparkling cocktails in a can, Sparkling Tequila with Smoked Pineapple and Sparkling Bourbon with Oak Smoked Lemonade. Lively also announced that two of the existing Betty Booze flavors will soon be available in mocktail form, Sparkling Oak Smoked Lemonade and Sparkling Apple Ginger Sour Cherry from Betty Buzz.

“Can’t wait for you to try it,” she wrote. “Coming in May…”
