- In October 2020, it was speculated that Azeem would be participating in the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 4 as a wild card contestant and his rumored girlfriend Shivani Narayanan was already in the house from the beginning. However, due to some unknown reasons, he was quarantined for a few days and was therefore unable to attend the show. He shared the news with his fans via Instagram Stories, which read:

- In July 2021, a 26-year-old woman who was a resident of Usilampatti in Tamil Nadu was defrauded of Rs 2.56 lakh by a scammer who sent the victim a friend request named Mohammed Azeem through Facebook.
