It’s been a meteoric year for Bobby Brazier, and the star returns home from the NTA for Rising Star after making his acting debut in EastEnders in July 2022, and the actor will soon appear on Strictly Come Dancing.
The 20-year-old is the son of TV host Jeff Brazier and Big Brother star Jade Goody, who sadly died in 2009 after being diagnosed with cervical cancer. In a conversation with HELLO! and other media, Bobby revealed how he thought Jade would react to his appearance on the popular dance show. “I would be happy to do something that makes me happy, as well as my friends, my whole family and everyone who loves me,” he said.

He added: “They did [friends and family] they’re happy for me because they know how much I’m going to enjoy it and how happy I am to be here.”
Bobby is the latest EastEnders the star that was thrown Strictlyso he has many colleagues to turn to for advice, and he also discovered some things that his female colleagues told him.

“Jimmy Bye keeps telling me to eat, I think he’s worried I’ll lose a bit of weight,” he joked. “But mostly to be myself, they all think highly of me, bless them. So they think I’ll be fine if I just be myself and enjoy myself.”

Speaking about his late mother in an interview with Timesaid the actor: “I guess I know my mom through other people’s memories of my mom. Maybe memories of memories. I’m always told about her and what she meant to people.”
Bobby was asked how he feels about following in his mother’s footsteps, starring in a reality show, and the actor said: “I don’t really know. I just know that I take advantage of some opportunities that come my way and it’s strictly always going to be yes because learning to dance is something that I’ve always wanted to work. And learning to perform in front of so many people is exciting.”

He was also asked how he thought Jade would react to his choice for EastEnders, to which he said: “She’d be proud. Why wouldn’t she be? Everyone who loves me and cares about me, all my friends and my family, they’re all proud and they all support me. I’m sure—well, I know—she would be the same.”
At the time of casting, Bobby said: “I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly cast, I can’t wait to start training like a professional dancer and add a few moves to my wardrobe. I’m looking forward to performing in front of everyone, it’s going to be a lot of fun!”
