Beat Bobby Flay: Seasonal Throwdown joins the Food Network and Discovery+ holiday lineups ahead of the holiday season. The festive special limited series will keep the original show’s idea but amp it up to fit the holiday spirit. The competition will be split into three rounds. Two chefs will go head-to-head in the first round before the winner advances to the next round to face another notable chef. Whoever advances from rounds one and two will battle for the winning title against Bobby Flay in the final round of each show.
According to the press announcement for the show:
“Each episode is one hour long, and the Beat Bobby Flay format has been extended to three rounds with a team element – and, in Bobby’s worst fear, only the hardest chefs are entering the kitchen to take him down.”
Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown will air on Food Network and Discovery+ on November 8 at 9 p.m. ET.

Meet the host of Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown ahead of the launch of the program.
Bobby Flay has become a household name in both the culinary and television industries. His multiple programs, restaurants, and publications have contributed to his $60 million net worth. Flay is one of the most well-known and wealthy celebrity chefs, having originally gained prominence as a participant in Iron Chef America. The 57-year-old chef began his culinary career at the age of 17 after dropping out of school and working at Joe Allen’s restaurant in New York, where he found his passion for food. Joe Allen opted to fund his tuition at the French Culinary Institute, where he finished with a degree in culinary arts since he did so well.
After finishing his studies at the famous culinary school, the Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown host opened his first restaurant, Mesa Grill, in 1991. Since then, the Flay brand has expanded to include a number of eateries, the most recent being Bobby’s Burger Place. The presenter of Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown debuted on Food Network’s Iron Chef America in 1994, followed by an appearance in Grillin’ & Chillin’ two years later. His other television series include Boy Meets Grill with Bobby Flay, BBQ with Bobby Flay, Grill It! with Bobby Flay, and Bobby Flay’s Barbeque Addiction, which earned him the title of “TV’s hottest grill master.”
He will now appear in the upcoming Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown, which will pit famous chefs against one other in an effort to defeat the famed television personality. Bobby said in the program’s teaser that he wants more chefs to be a part of it in order to make the show more family-oriented in order to live up to the Christmas spirit. Watch Food Network and Discovery+ on November 8 at 9 p.m. ET.
