Lancashire teenager Jay flew to the island with two friends for the NRG festival.
He went to the closing night on Sunday with his friends, but left with two men he met that night.
The next morning he called his friend Lucy Law to tell her that his phone was about to break and he was stuck in the middle of nowhere.
Jay has not been heard from or seen since, and the search team is desperately searching 24 hours a day for the apprentice mason.
Now footage has emerged, widely shared on social media, of the rave showing Jay wandering through a sea of clubbers – all in their teens or twenties.
Andy Watson, Jay’s mum’s longtime partner, confirmed to The Sun that it was the missing teenager in the video.
Jay’s best friend Lucy – the last person he spoke to on the phone – has now pleaded with British police officers to join the search as the precious hours tick away.
Jay Slater’s tearful mother on why she thinks he went missing in Tenerife as she pleads for help
She told the Mirror: “We need the British police here. I just want to find my partner. He’s been gone for three days. He’s not looking good now.
“We feel like it’s up to us to find him and do more than the police.”
Lucy said the two men Jay left the club with on Sunday night have since left the country.
“They should be questioned by the British police,” she said.
It comes as…
Around 7.30am on Monday – an hour before he called Lucy – Jay posted a Snapchat of his hand holding a cigarette.
A Snapchat video posted the night before showed him laughing with friends.
Meanwhile, Jay’s desperate mum burst into tears as she pleaded with whoever is holding her son to “let him go”.
Debbie Duncan – who flew to the island – is worried her son has been taken against his will.
She told the Mail: “If anyone has him, just let him go, he’s not a bad person, maybe he got involved with some strangers who befriended him.
“I’m not stupid, I’ve been to Tenerife before, I’ve worked abroad myself and I gave him warnings, I just think if anyone has him let him go, he’s not a bad person.”
Debbie said yesterday that Jay was on his first holiday abroad with friends – and wasn’t a big drinker at home.
Debbie told the BBC: “I haven’t slept at all, it’s like it’s not real.
“It was his first holiday abroad with friends and I encouraged him to go, I told him ‘you’re going to have a great time’.

“Jay doesn’t really drink alcohol, but that night he was drinking shorts and spirits.
“Everybody likes to be around him, and he was laughing with these guys.
“He wouldn’t see the danger, he wasn’t smart, he just wanted to go and have fun.”
About 15 family members and friends flew to help – with police, firefighters, sniffer dogs, drones and helicopters searching the hills where he was last seen.
Police briefly moved the search to another side island on Wednesday after a sighting was reported.
Mountain rescue teams left the hills where Jay disappeared and began searching the southern part of the island.
But a major search operation returned near the village of Masca in north-west Tenerife after the tip-off turned out to be false.
