It was time for Jackson Maine to return to the stage.
On Saturday, May 25, Bradley Cooper joined Eddie Vedder — who famously inspired his A star is born character Jackson Maine — onstage at BottleRock Napa Valley Food and Music Festival in Napa, Calif. for a surprise duet of “Maybe It’s Time” from his 2018 film.
“Would you please join me in welcoming my great, great friend Bradley Cooper to the stage,” the Pearl Jam frontman, 59, told the crowd during the band’s performance at the music festival in a video posted by fans.
From there, Maestro the actor, 49, kissed Vedder on the cheek and sat on stage next to him as he strummed an acoustic guitar as the pair exchanged verses.

On Monday, May 26, Pearl Jam shared an Instagram post showing the “Last Kiss” singer hugging Cooper behind a copy of the setlist that featured the collaboration between the two.
“Cheers @bottlerocknapa! 🍷🌅,” read the caption.
In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, Cooper revealed that the “Just Breathe” musician was actually his inspiration for A star is born alter-ego.
“I went to Seattle and spent four or five days with him and asked him 9,000 questions,” the actor/director told the paper. “And he gave me smaller, little things that only musicians know how to do, just aesthetic and inner work.”
However, Vedder was initially skeptical of Cooper’s decision to sing on screen.
“He was like, ‘What? Bro, don’t do that,’ he recalled.
But in the end, the rocker passed on the sheet music for the songs in the film.
“He was wonderful,” Cooper said.
Also on Saturday, May 25, Silver Linings Playbook the actor took to the grill to make his famous Gigi Hadid-approved Philly cheesesteaks!
The 29-year-old supermodel, who has been romantically involved with Cooper since October 2023, was spotted eating the regional dish on the second day of the Napa Valley Music Festival.

Bradley Cooper reveals close friend Eddie Vedder inspired his rock song ‘A Star Is Born’
The sandwich was prepared by the 12-time Oscar nominee, who was at the event with Angelo Pizzeria owner Danny DiGiampietra for Danny and Coop’s Cheesesteaks – which they opened together in 2023.
The culinary stage at the festival had a lineup teeming with high-profile celebrities, including Neil Patrick Harris, his husband David Burtka, Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power for their organic wine company Avaline Wine and basketball champion Stephen Curry for his line of Gentleman’s Cut Bourbon.
On stage, Cooper was also seen showing off his basketball moves with Curry, 36, as they tossed cheesesteaks into the audience.
