‘Brady Bunch’ Star Eve Plumb Recalls the Gift She Received from TV Dad Robert Reed — Which Is Up for Auction

Eve Plumb recalls her favorite memories with the cast The Brady Group.

On Wednesday, the 65-year-old actress announced that she will be auctioning several items from her “very Brady” collection through Julien’s Auctions, and she took some time to share a little insight into the history of each memento.

In the video of the auction items, Plumb, who took on the role of Jan Brady in the The Brady Group from 1969 to 1974, she opened up about a special gift she once received from her TV father, Robert Reed.

Catching up with the cast of ‘The Brady Bunch’

“One Christmas Robert Reed gave us all Super Eight cameras because he was taking us on a trip – first to New York City and then to QA2 to London,” she recalled as the photos she took on the trip flashed on the screen. “It was so much fun traveling with Robert and everyone in the cast.”

Elsewhere in the clip, Plumb showed off a butterfly piece she made with a needlepoint while waiting to film her take on the classic ABC sitcom. The actress revealed how her late co-stars, Florence Henderson (Carol Brady) and Ann B. Davis (Alice Nelson), introduced her and the rest of the cast to the party.

“In the 1970s, sewing became quite popular,” she explained. “You could do that all day and still be quiet while they were filming.”

In addition to the gifts and original pieces she created on set, Plumb plans to auction off other memorabilia from her illustrious career in television.

According to the press release, items up for bid include: “original and signed teledramas from The Brady GroupFamous episodes such as the pilot episode of ‘Honeymoon’, ‘Not-So-Ugly-Duckling’, ‘The Topic Was Noses’, ‘Her Sister’s Shadow’ and ‘Will the Real Jan Brady Please Stand Up?’ autograph books, A very brave Christmas Scripts, photos from the beginning of her career and a vintage Barbie watch.”

The original pilot script also features signed and autographed messages from her former co-stars. Fans can spot a drawing of a bug by Susan Olsen (Cindy Brady) and a sweet message from Maurren McCormick (Marcia Brady) that reads: “You are the most beautiful and sweetest sister I’ve ever had. I’m sure you’ll go far acting. Good luck…See you when let’s start recording shows”

Barry Williams (Greg Brady) also wrote: “It was a lot of fun and a lot of work, but it was even more fun after all. I know the show will sell and we’ll all be working together again…”
