Brandt Jobe attended UCLA and was a member of the 1988 NCAA Division I Men’s Championship team. In the same year, he started his professional career. In 1990, he dominated the order of merit on the Canadian tour. Furthermore, he gained membership in the PGA Tour through the Qualifying School in 1991, but only made five cuts that year. During one of his few shaky seasons, he won the Asia Golf Circuit Order of Merit in 1995. Furthermore, he made a name for himself on the Japan Golf Tour, where he competed from 1995 to 1999 and won six tournaments.
In September 1999, he returned to the PGA Tour as a special provisional member. Despite a freak accident in his home garage, he continued to play regularly. He has never won a PGA Tour event, but has tied for second four times, including twice in 2005 while competing under a major medical exemption.
