Breaking Bad Cast Reunites in F-Bomb-Laden SAG Awards Presentation: ‘They Can’t Fire Us’

Bryan Cranston and the cast Breaking Bad teased a reunion at the 2024 SAG Awards.

Cranston, 67, joined his co-stars from the hit AMC series, including Aaron Paul, Bob Odenkirk, RJ Mitte, Anna Gunn, Jonathan Banks, Dean Norris and Betsy Brandt on stage at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Saturday to present tonight’s award for the best ensemble in a drama television series. The group appeared to mark the 10th anniversary of winning the award themselves, with Cranston saying the group was “thrilled to present it to a different group of actors.”

“Ensemble – E stands for the excellence that each member of the cast brings to each exciting episode,” said Gunn, 55. “And the letter N… N stands for no, no f—— the way I’m going to make this cheeky thing where you say every letter of the word. I’m not going to do that,” Odenkirk joked.

“I think we have to, it’s on the teleprompter,” Paul, 44, remarked, but Norris, 60, interjected and said: “Teleprompter my a–; I’ve got a beer and some backstage shots, so let’s get this thing going.”

“Bob’s right,” Mitte added. “My grandma wouldn’t even put this on her pillow, it’s so cheesy.”

“Listen, guys – I don’t mean to start T for trouble, but what do you think SAG would do to us if we didn’t do this?” – added 50-year-old Brandt.

Gunn then announced the HBO cast Succession as Saturday’s award winners, and Odenkirk presented the statuette to Alan Ruck.
