Brenda Song Says Macaulay Culkin Makes ‘Me Feel the Most Beautiful’ with ‘Nothing on My Face’ (Exclusive)

Brenda Song talks about how her relationship with Macaulay Culkin boosts her confidence.

While attending an event to launch Clarins’ new Multi-Active collection on Friday, Social network actress, 35, talked to PEOPLE about when she feels most beautiful — and “it has a lot to do with my partner,” she says.

“I think he’s the one who really made me feel the most beautiful when I’m getting ready to go to bed and I’ve got nothing on my face and I’m so tired,” she says of Culkin, 43. “We’re about to watch some really stupid thing on TV , and he looked at me, and [I’m like], ‘He makes me feel so confident.’ ”

“I have someone who makes me feel beautiful without a hint of makeup, because he has to sit through my 20-minute treatment at night,” she adds.

In the meantime, Home alone The star doesn’t have a skincare routine at all, says Song.

“He doesn’t have a skin care routine,” she tells PEOPLE. “If she washes her face with water at night, I’m lucky. I’m the one who has to rub his face.”

“He’s like a boy who says, ‘I never had to do anything. I will never do anything.’ I thought, ‘That’s not the case for me,'” she continues. “It took me an hour and a half to get ready [for this event]and he showed up at the last minute and was done in five minutes.”

The couple, who got engaged in 2022, first met in 2017 in Thailand on the set of a Seth Green film Changeland. Since then, they have worked together on numerous projects and had two sons, Dakota, born in 2021, and another boy, born in March 2023.

Song also talked about how her style and self-care routines have changed since her Disney Channel days, addressing the Y2K theme of the event, which featured Christina Aguilera.

“It was the best time of my life,” says Song, recalling his early days in the 2000s. “It was very easy for me to slip into some Y2K. I feel like that was my youth and I was going out with my friends and living my best Christina Aguilera life.”

To keep her skin looking youthful, Song says she uses the new Clarins Multi-Active Moisturizer and tries to keep her skincare routine simple by following a few key guidelines.

“I didn’t realize my skin was so dull and tired, and it was called stress-induced aging, and I was like, ‘What?'” she explains. “What I love about a multi-active moisturizer is that it does so many things in one product. For me, because I’m so busy, I don’t need to have a six-step routine. I just have something that does everything and I don’t have to think about it.”
