Brenda Song Thinks 'London Tipton Was Right' About This Iconic Suite Life of Zack & Cody Phrase

Brenda Song completely agrees with her Suite Life of Zack & Cody character, London Tipton.

At a press conference to promote her latest film The last showgirlThe Disney alumna, 36, told MTV that fans quote her a certain moment from the series “all the time, randomly, everywhere”: the famous “PRNDL” scene.

“At that moment you are simply not aware of what you are doing. But also, why isn’t it called PRNDL? Why do they call it a shifter?” Song asked.

“It should be called PRNDL. London Tipton was right,” she confirmed.

In the popular Disney Channel series, Song played London Tipton, the heiress to a hotel empire. When the hotel manager Mr. Moseby (played by Phill Lewis) tries to teach London how to drive, the pair have a hilarious exchange in which London coined a lingering misnomer.

“Are you familiar with the shifter?” asks Mr. Moseby.

“You mean… PRNDL?” London replies smugly, referring to the letters next to the lever. After a frustrated Moseby yells at her, London tells him, “You’re making me nervous with all this technical talk!” ”

“Oh, I’m sorry,” he apologizes sarcastically. “Why don’t we just relax or turn on the radio? Do you want A.M or FMM?”

Following the rest of her Suite Life and its sequel series, Song starred in the sitcom dadmedical drama Pure genius and comedy series A doll’s face. Recently, Social network the actress appeared alongside Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis in The last showgirldirected by Gia Coppola.

The drama follows Anderson, 57, as Shelly Gardner, a 30-year-old entertainer who faces an uncertain future after closing her long-running show. The song features Mary-Anne, one of Shelly’s fellow performers, alongside Kiernan Shipka.

About the role, Song said Party tonight“Who doesn’t want to be a showgirl first of all? And who doesn’t want to wear Bob Mackie?”

Brenda Song reveals the reason she and fiancé Macaulay Culkin keep their sons out of the spotlight

But Song almost gave up acting after having two sons, Dakota, 3, and Carson, 2 – who she shares with her partner of seven years, Macaulay Culkin.

“When I stepped into motherhood, it made me question a lot: my place in this industry, my place as a woman, age in this industry, societal pressures about what beauty is, what being young is,” Song told Stare.

She continued: “My priority is my children, so I can’t just uproot my life and go live in Bulgaria for nine months to make a movie. I asked myself, ‘Does acting still fit into my life?’ ”

With Culkin’s help, she found a balance between motherhood and career.

“I always said to be the best parent, the best partner, I have to be the best me. And a big part of this is work. I have to be able to respect that,” she explained.
