Brian Austin Green Talks Co-Parenting with Ex Megan Fox, Fiancée Sharna Burgess: ‘One Big Family’

Brian Austin Green is open about his positive co-parenting relationship with Megan Fox.

While appearing on Whining downstairs with Jana Kramer podcast, Green, 50, and his fiancee Sharna Burgess, 38, opened up to host Jana Kramer, 39, about parenting with Fox, 37, with whom Green has sons Noah Shannon, 11, Bodhi Ransom, 9 and Journey River, 7.

Kramer complimented the couple on the frame in the background of their Zoom call, which Green admitted was a wedding gift for him and Fox. The pregnant country singer then asked if Burgess ever minded having items from Green’s past in the house.

“I don’t really feel that way, I haven’t felt that way about a lot of things,” Burgess said. “There are some things that we definitely wanted to freshen up over time, we ended up buying our own home together to start that life. And I think those things just happen slowly over time.”

Sharna Burgess says Brian Austin Green’s kids are ‘super excited’ about their engagement

“I certainly didn’t have the feeling: ‘Everything has to go!’ It’s like no we’ll do it as we do as we build our life But I love that frame and I love what it says and it came from Tracy [Green’s manager], which I also really love. She is our family.”

“And I agree with Brian, I think that thread is still there [him and Fox] but I think there are also many threads that connect all of us and the people that come in and out of your life, so it rings true and it’s very important.”

“AND [Megan’s] part of our lives and we will always be connected because of the children. So we are all family. So there’s no bad feeling that it can’t be that way in this house,” Burgess revealed.

“Megan is in our home,” Green said. “She’ll come sometimes when she’s dropping off or picking up the kids and she’ll come in.”

“And stay a little longer,” added Burgess.

“And she’s going to hold Zane and it’s like we’re one big family,” Green told Kramer. “You know, family is obviously defined in different ways.”

“But we share so much with her and she shares so much with Sharna now, and because of that they have an incredible bond and friendship and mutual respect and love.”

In addition to their sons with Fox, Green and Burgess share a son, Zane Walker, 14 months, and Beverly Hills, 90210 son Kassius (21) with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil is also a star.

Earlier this month, on an episode of their podcast ElderlyGreen and Burgess talked about raising his three sons with Fox.

Burgess recalled texting Fox to introduce herself, noting, “I think she really appreciated that she started out with openness.”

“I always tried to be neutral at the beginning of our relationship, not to have some preconceived idea of who she was before I met her. I just wanted to meet her in person and we let that happen,” Burgess explained. “I think we co-parent very well. Again, it’s always about the kids and what’s best for them. Sometimes we can do things together.”

Green agreed that Burgess and Fox have a “wonderful relationship”, adding: “If they’re at school for an event, sometimes they’ll be in their little place talking for half an hour, all by themselves laughing and joking and having a great time.”

“She’s a great woman and she’s a part of raising these beautiful children and simply because she’s an ex, there’s no need for me to hold any grudge against her. They had their experience and it has nothing to do with me. How it went down, what failed, that’s none of my business. What my job is to be a part of is to create a healthy, open, loving and respectful environment for these kids,” Burgess added.
