Brian James Bauer, 45, of Clinton, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Elvira Zion Lutheran Church. Visitors can enter the church from nine in the morning and stay until the end of the service. Pape Funeral Home is assisting this family. Brian Bauer was born in Clinton on July 10, 1977, to Linda (Nielsen) Bauer and James Bauer. He graduated with honors from Northeast High School in 1995. He married Kristina Miller on June 27, 2006.

Brian worked as a maintenance worker and electrician at ALCOA. He often attended Elvira Zion Lutheran Church. In addition to teaching at a nearby hunter safety school, Brian enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapping as an enthusiastic outdoorsman. His two children, Gauge and Gretchen Bauer, his mother Linda Bauer, who lives in Clinton, his brother Chris Bauer, who is married to Carrie and lives in Clinton, his sister Angie Maze, who also lives in Clinton, and several nephews and nieces survive him except for his beloved wife Kristina. His father and grandparents preceded him in death, as did his daughter Kylie, who died in 2007.
