Bridget Malcolm’s Former Music Instructor Has Been Suspended For Severe Misconduct Toward Her

Bridget Malcolm, an Australian model, has spoken out against her former Perth High School music teacher, who has now been suspended for serious misconduct against her while she was a student there. After learning that Aurelio Gallo’s teaching license had been suspended for three years, the 30-year-old model took to Instagram on September 10 to post a video of her experience at Perth Methodist College for Women.

She stated:

“I’m not sure how to say this, but I’ll say it anyway.” It was discovered today that my secondary school teacher’s music teaching license in Western Australia has been suspended for three years. He lost it because he committed a great injustice to the students while he was educating them, and I am that student.”

She continued:

“I was debating whether to give up my right to anonymity because I was a minor at the time.”

However, she said that things have changed on her side, mentioning:

“But I know you’re not a minor anymore.” I’m still in shock, I’m still digesting and I’ve been going through a lot of emotions today. I’m everywhere right now. I just want to tell the fellow survivors out there that they are not alone, that they are stronger than they know they are and that the future awaits them.”

Bridget Malcolm has appeared on the covers of many leading fashion publications, including Harper’s Bazaar Australia, Mexico, Playboy and Elle Italy. She rose to fame after appearing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2015. On September 12, Aurelius Gallo was suspended from teaching in Western Australia and Queensland. He even stepped down as the performing arts director at John Paul College. After the suspension, the teaching board distributed an article that included some of the texts that Gallo had sent to Bridget Malcolm. Gallo emailed Bridget Malcolm in 2009, wondering why she hadn’t sent him topless photos of herself.

He declared:

“I’m happy to hear that you’re being looked after and that you’re becoming more aware of others. Unfortunately, you don’t always see what you need. Information on used accommodation arrives from [name of another teacher], who went on to tell me that she chatted with you for an hour and informed me about topless pictures you definitely didn’t give me!!! “May I ask?”

According to the documents, Malcolm, then a teenager, was asked to send him photos, meet him for dinner, and accept his Skype calls. Gallo wished the Bridget Malcolm family well in another email, but did not sign it as a teacher.
