The tragic discovery was made after police were called to the property out of “concern for welfare”.
The arrested 42-year-old woman on suspicion of murder is in police custody in the hospital.
Tragic photos and videos show the children having fun together before they were “killed”.
In one poignant video, seven-year-old Faris can be seen singing and playing a red ukulele.
He is joined by his sister Jory, who puts on a pink fluffy hat and dances on the sofa.
The three-year-old girl can also be seen beaming in a photo in front of the cake.
The horror happened on Sunday around 12:40 when the police raided a house in the Sea Mills area of Bristol.
It is believed to be an “isolated incident” with “no further risk to the wider community”, police said.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct was notified because there was “previous police contact earlier this month”.
A spokesman said: “We have requested a paper referral with additional information about the previous contact and once we receive it we will assess it to determine if further action is required from us.”
Woman arrested for ‘murder’ after three children found dead at home
A friend of the child’s mum, NHS worker Salwa Bashar, paid tribute to the three children.
She told The Sun Online: “Her children were the most beautiful souls. Faris is the most intelligent child I’ve ever met, he was kind and always wanted to know how you were.
“He would say to me – ‘How are you Salwa?’. “He was not an ordinary child and I always believed that he would become an extraordinary adult, doing extraordinary things.
“It breaks my heart that he and his sister and little brother are no longer with us.
“What happened just seems unbelievable. I can’t believe they are no longer with us.”
Neighbors said the two eldest children attended the local Sea Mills Primary School, which was closed this morning.
The children’s mother and father, who are originally from Sudan, are known to have moved to the UK around seven years ago.
The death of such young children is a great shock to the whole community and this incident has had a deep and profound impact on all of us in the police force.
Chief Inspector Vicks Hayward-Melen
Locals say the children’s mother was a “wonderful person” and a “great mother.”
The police did not reveal the relationship between the suspect and the children.
Today, a forensic tent could be seen in the garden of the home near the trampoline and other children’s playgrounds.
Chief Inspector Vicks Hayward-Melen said: “Uniformed officers from the neighborhood policing team will be in the area over the coming days to provide safety and support to the local community, so please get in touch if you have any concerns or concerns.
“It is important to emphasize that we are treating this as an isolated incident and do not believe there is any ongoing risk to the wider community.
“We have been humbled by the community’s response to this tragedy.
“The death of such young children is a huge shock to the whole community and this incident has had a deep and profound impact on all of us in the police force.
“I know people will be anxious for answers, but the large investigative team is in the very early stages of a highly sensitive, complex and thorough investigation and it will take time to establish all the facts.
“We anticipate having to carry out further investigations at the scene by the end of the week and cordons will be in place while we do so.”
