Civil Guard motorcyclists rode in front of the ambulance to ensure it arrived at the hospital as soon as possible.

The Spanish press writes that a terrible incident took place in the Hidropark water park in Alcudia.

Local newspaper Cronica Balear writes that the British man “was knocked unconscious when he went down one of the slides and hit his head.”

They reported: “The boy fell unconscious as a result of the collision, and after reaching the pool, he fell to the bottom of it.”

The paper also states that when the ambulance arrived at the scene, “medical workers began to revive the child” and “restored his pulse”, but the British man remained unconscious.

After stabilizing the 15-year-old, the ambulance began to transfer him to Son Espases Hospital.

Due to the seriousness of the British situation, the Civil Guard declared a “green alert” where various patrols cut off traffic at major intersections to allow ambulances to pass freely.

Sources from the emergency service 061 claim that the incident happened around 4:00 p.m. when they received a report of a serious drowning in the water park.

An investigation is underway to determine what happened.

It comes weeks after a Briton drowned while diving off the coast of Lanzarote.
