British Rock Icons Oasis Announce 2025 Comeback Tour: ‘The Great Wait Is Over’

Oasis are back!

On Tuesday, August 27, the British rock group — fronted by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher — announced their highly anticipated Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, confirming multiple stadium dates across the UK and Ireland next summer.

The big reveal, which marks the band’s first UK and Ireland gigs in 16 years, comes almost 15 years after the Gallagher brothers famously split in 2009 following an alleged row backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

“The guns fell silent. The stars aligned. The long wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” Oasis said in a statement about the reunion tour, according to a release obtained by PEOPLE.

“This is it, this is happening,” the band added in an Instagram post teasing the return.

The band will kick off their comeback tour at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on July 4th and 5th, before heading to Gallagher’s hometown of Manchester for four dates at Heaton Park on July 11th, 12th, 19th and 20th.

From there, the British rockers will head to London’s Wembley Stadium for four more dates, on July 25th and 26th and August 2nd and 3rd, before stopping at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on August 8th and 9th. The concert will end in Croke Park in Dublin on August 16 and 17.

Along with the tour announcement, Oasis have also confirmed the release of a 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition their classic album Definitely Maybe on Friday, August 30 to celebrate three decades since the band’s debut studio release on August 29, 1994.

Tuesday’s release also confirmed that the band intends to expand their tour to other countries. “Plans are underway for Oasis Live ’25 to travel to other continents outside of Europe later next year,” the statement added.

After originally forming in Manchester in 1991, Oasis recorded a number of major hits including “Wonderwall”, “Stop Crying Your Heart Out”, “Champagne Supernova” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger”.

They also headlined the Glastonbury Festival in England in 1995 and 2004, and have amassed a total of 12 billion streams to date, the release added.
