Britney Spears Recalls Meeting ‘Girl Crush’ Taylor Swift for the First Time: ‘She’s Unbelievable’

Britney Spears takes a walk down memory lane — and proves she’s a certified Swiftie!

The singer (41) shared a post on Instagram on Saturday in which she recalled her first meeting with Taylor Swift two decades ago.

Sharing a picture of herself and Swift, 33, together in 2003 and then again in 2008, Spears began the caption of her post by writing: “This is a long time ago, but it’s kind of cool.”

She then points out how a member of her team approached her backstage during her Oops!… I Did It Again Tour to introduce her to Midnight singer, Spears continued, “He said, ‘I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come and sing for you.’ I was like of course!!! He walks in and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar 🎸.”

“I was like wow wow she’s amazing !!! We took a picture and then she became the most iconic pop woman of our generation. It’s kind of cool she plays in stadiums and I prefer her videos to movies.” The woman in me added the author. “She’s stunning!!! Girl in love 💄 💄 💄.”

Both Spears and Swift have seen huge success this year, with the former recently releasing her best-selling memoir on October 24, which recounts the ups and downs of her life from her perspective.

The project sold 1.1 million copies in its first week on sale, including pre-orders, print book, e-book and audiobook formats. by Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster.

Due to the book’s popularity, the fourth printing of the memoir is already in the works, which will increase the number of hardbound copies in print to more than 1.4 million, the publisher added.

Swift, meanwhile, is currently hitting the South American stops of her fan-favorite Eras Tour, the final show of which took place Saturday at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina — featuring the singer’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce .

The concert hiatus comes after the release of a re-recorded version of Swift’s 2014 album. 1989 (Taylor Version)which brought her the biggest debut album in her career.
