An urgent search is underway for a missing girl who “may be trying to travel abroad” – as officers fear she is already 200 miles from home.
Christeen Madge, 16, was last seen on December 20 at her home in Newton Abbot, Devon.
But officers say she could have made it to London – and possibly even ventured further.
The teenager, of Thai and English descent, also has links to Torquay in her home county of Devon, Devon Police say.
She is described as having dark hair and a slim build, and is 5ft 2m tall.
In a statement, a police spokesman said: “Officers have been carrying out searches and inquiries to locate her and are now appealing to the public to report any sightings or information that may assist us.
“She is described as being of Thai and English descent, with a slim build and around 5ft 2in tall.
“She has long dark hair and it is not known what she was wearing when she disappeared.
“Christeen has links to the Newton Abbot and Torquay areas but it is possible she has traveled to London and may be attempting to travel abroad.”
Police have urged anyone with information about Christeen’s whereabouts to call 999, quoting log 208 of 21/12/24.
